There are traditionally two views on history: progress and
egress. The egressive view (which is a word I just made up based
off of egress which both means to exit and rhymes with progressive) is
usually held by the non-caring public and excessively passionate
athethists. The idea is that history is a series of events linked
only by accident and their impact on future generations. That is,
there is no under lying cause or goal for history. No guiding
will moving towards a particular end or destination - just the
senseless acts of ultimately impotent actors. The exit from
one event to the next without affecting or even creating an overall
picture. This is apathetic and more importantly wrong... |

If you know me, you know that I have no inside information on
anything. I'm among the least informed of anyone I know and I
certainly don't have any knowledgable contacts in far away places like
London or Iraq or even Brooklyn. Actually Kase just moved to
Brooklyn - let's say Queens. Anyway, what I lack in facts I make
up for in wild implausable theories. But this one I think
has some merit. The issue is why haven't 'they' used the word
suicde-bombers (or homicide-bombers or any of its cousins) when
describing the tragedy in London.... |

Video games get a bad rap. They have violence and sex and violent
sex. They promote moral degredation and are the bane of any god
fearing, apple pie loving american citizen. And what about the
children? Oh you mustn't forget the children. They get enticed by
the sweet sacrilige and go straight to high school to kill their
classmates. To prevent these evil ends lawmakers have recently
proposed a number of - let's call them remedies...
